Disclaimer: This blog is for educational purposes, If you do anything illegal so we are not responsible for it…

Note: We are going to show you cracking the password of a zip file only and once you will learn how to use the tool so you can crack rar and pdf file’s password by yourself…

Explaining the tool

This tool can do dictionary-based attacks and brute force attacks and in Bruteforce, there are six types of attack…

  1. lowercase
  2. uppercase
  3. symbols
  4. letters
  5. digits
  6. space

From which you can combine some options yourself also by typing their name separated with a comma…

Installing and Setting up

Now we can start our installing process, so as we always do go to your favorite browser and search ( zydra Github ), and click on the first website. If you didn’t find it so click on this link – ( https://github.com/hamedA2/Zydra )…

After that, copy the code from there then go to the location where you have to save the tool and clone it in your terminal. For cloning the tool, the command is ( git clone <you code> ) and it will start installing…

If your tool is installed then you can come inside its directory by typing ( cd Zydra ), remember the Z is capital in the name. Now we have to give permission to all of the files inside its directory and for giving it, we have to write a command ( chmod 777 * ).

Now we have to install the requirements of this tool by running this command ( ./script.sh ). This will take some time for completing…

After installing the requirements everything is done, we just have to type a command for brute-forcing our zip file but wait! we didn’t know how to set a password in a zip file…

So for setting a password, first we need something which we can put into our zip file. For example a text file, so first make a txt file type something in it then save it on your desktop.

Now come to your terminal and go to the destination where you saved your text file and type the command which is shown in the image –

Command – zip –password <pass> <name.zip> <txt file name>

Now it is time for cracking passwords! So go inside your tool’s directory again and type a command which is going to be a little bit big…

Command – python3 Zydra.py -f <zip file path> -b <attack type> -m <minimum pass length> -x <maximum pass length>

Tips – You can type python3 Zydra.py -h for viewing all types of password attacks and commands…

If you type the command shown in the image above then the tool will start brute-forcing and in a few minutes, your passwords will be cracked as our password gets…

You can see that the tool has found our password and this is the same password that we make earlier. So now try other options yourself and comment down about what you like. Now enjoy…

If you have any problem with our blog so you can comment to us we will try to fix it.
