defend the web intro level 7 - 8

Disclaimer – This blog is for educational purposes only, If you do anything illegal then we are not responsible for it…

Intro Level – 7

In the 7th level, you can see that there is a line written which says, You couldn’t even find the password using a search engine as search bots have been excluded…

So it means we have to use the “robots.txt” method to find out the password. if you don’t know what is robots.txt, It is an URL path that allows you to see the hidden files inside the website…

Now for doing that you have to copy the URL of the level and paste it into a new tab. Then write “robots.txt” at the end of it…

URL – ( https://defendtheweb.net/robots.txt )

After searching the URL, you will see another file path that is Disallowed that’s why we cannot see it. Now copy it and paste it in the place of the robot’s txt…

There is your username and password, copy it and paste it in the blank boxes and your level will be cleared…

Intro Level – 8

Level 8th is the same as level 7 but the difference is that, its path is hidden in the source code. So click on ( view page source ) and scroll down till the password section came.

When you see the password section, look at the line below of it and there is your file path. Paste it in the URL section and you will be redirected to another page…

Now you will say that this is written in Binary format, so what is google made for ;). Go ahead and search for ( Binary to text converter ) and decode the binary digits…

If you didn’t get the website for converting then you can go on this website by clicking the link – ( https://www.rapidtables.com/convert/number/binary-to-ascii.html ).

In the image below, you can see that our username is decoded. The same thing you have to do with the password and paste them in their places…

Now your Intro levels 7th and 8th are also completed, so you can also try to practice them yourself if you want to…

If you have any problem with our blog so you can comment to us we will try to fix it.
